Youth Soccer Coaching Manifesto Released

I knew when I wrote The Manifesto it would create a stir in the Youth Soccer Coaching world, but I never thought it would instantly generate the tidal wave of responses it brought with it.
The discussions are heated and full of controversy in the popular soccer coaching forums. Blogs I’ve never known about are dissecting each and every page and slide. In the first 48 hours alone 4,742 youth coaches have read and downloaded their own copy of “The Manifesto”.
I’ve received many requests to use portions of the Manifesto on blogs, in articles, on websites, etc…
Stay tuned, because there’s a lot more coming….
Andre

Nice “Manifesto”. As a youth soccer coach for 5 seasons, all of these points make sense and are true. Although I have never seen this doc. before, I started teaching with a winner take all strategy while having fun. I have since shifted gears to a lets have fun and learn the game attitude for me and my kids. With a core of returning players again, I plan to use the ideas of the “Manifesto” to help me reinforce the idea of fun and skill. It really is just like its stated. Develop the skill while having fun and you will always develop a winner.
tahnk you very much about this informathion soccer coachin,if you mind you can send me training soccer viduo ,we can be frind and wecan change informathion.the end thank you anothre one
Enjoyed the guidance provided and especaily the emphasis on developmewnt of technique and not just winning games. Good, solid advice which is well thought through. Thank you.
Very interesting information on the motivation of younger players and I use the questionnaire method myself to get effective feedback from the kids. There were one or two new questions I haven’t used before, but I’ll definitely be including them in my next sheet!
thanks,
Ed
After i read this instruction, it showed me more interested and pleasure with my coaching career. I will follow this for improve my career, if you can provide me more basic to became a professional coach. i also request to have more material sample to practice on the field.
Thanks.,
Savada
you are a life saver thanx coach
I agree fully with your logical approach to retaining kids in soccer and believe that fun and then learning and lastly winning a few games at least whilst enforcing true and good sportmanship within ones own team and opposition teams is most important. I,ve just emphasised that to a assistant coach who believed that yelling and winning is the ONLY way to go?
Need to say I hope other coaches of this old school mentality realise what long term damage and loss of potential youths to the sport of soccer occur should they force this onto juniors…

I honestly cannot believe that there are youth coaches out there who wouldn’t want this published because it would either damage their career or their club. What an absolute shame.
You have produced some very good material, some of which I have been doing for the past 10 years and some new information I will use.
Thanks!
Andrea
Andre I thank you so much for all the help you have tirelessly sent me. Am a better youth coach now. You have helped me coach the disadvantaged youth of my neighbourhood. They send their appreciation too.
Andre,
I do like the information you are providing, but making yourself such an important person I absolutely dislike.
I got the feeling al you we writing was: I’m Great, I’ve helped so many coaches. I’m one of the best in the world.
To bad, because, as I said, I do like the information you are providing.
Good luck with your program. I might join it one day.
Cheers,
Tommy
