The Different Age Appropriate Soccer License

There is a marked difference in the specific age appropriate soccer license. So first you need to make sure and decide the age group you intend to coach for soccer.

Over a period of time if you gain experience in coaching by working with every age from 5-18 years, chances are that you will get better employment, salary and perks.

The two main coaching organizations -the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) provide courses for individuals who wish to obtain age specific football license.

These courses vary in length ranging from a few hours to several days. On the completion of the course, the coaches are awarded "certificates" or "diplomas." All these soccer coaching courses vary in philosophy but provide solid, well-developed curriculums.

Know All About Proper Age Football License

Here are some things to bear in mind when you want an age specific soccer-coaching license.

•  You should examine the various courses and relate them to your own ability, and interest level to select the most appropriate course for your self.

•  E and D courses can be enrolled for if you want to coach U-14 and up.

Criteria For The Age Appropriate Soccer License

• The National 'A' license course runs for duration of 9 days and costs about $900. To enroll for this program a candidate must be over 21 years of age and should hold a National "B" License.

• The National 'B' license course also runs for duration of 9 days and costs about $900. Candidates must be 19 years old and should possess a National "C" License to meet the eligibility criteria.

• The National Youth License course is considered at par with the other national C, B, and A courses. It is run by the USSF to teach soccer to players aged 12 and under. This course enables the coaches to teach age appropriate tactics and strategies. The curriculum has U-6, U-8, U-10, and U-12 components.
