Drills For Indoor Soccer - Explore The World Of Possibilities

Developing drills for indoor soccer is very much different from what you do in the outdoor version of the game. The indoor version offers a fast-paced game, as there is more opportunity for scoring goals.

That is the reason why most of the young players love to be involved with indoor soccer. You can take it as an excellent opportunity to build the technical skills of the players stronger by teaching them how to work on co-ordination.

Your innovations and creativity will be at test while you are developing your coaching program. The world of possibilities hidden inside the variety of Indoor training equipment can turn you into an inventive coach.

Passing And Shooting Drills

When it comes to developing indoor soccer drills in order to improve the passing and shooting skills of your players, you will definitely find the following tips very useful.

•  Have your players practice to use their feet to make solid contact with the ball.

•  There are two methods of kicking that your players need to master. For one, they can point toes at the ground and stretch the foot in order to generate a productive kick. Two, they can pull them up toward their shin by flexing the foot.

•  It is also important for you to teach your players how to follow through with the whole leg after striking the ball with the foot.

•  The drills for indoor soccer must be designed in a way that could help you teach your players how to aim at an open corner of the goal while attempting shots at the goal post.

•  What is more, it is not good to stay at your place while you are receiving a pass. Therefore, ask your players to practice moving while meeting a pass.

Training Tips

•  In order to create the passing stations, it is always good to use long benches or walls.

•  You do not need a real goal post for indoor football exercises. Instead, you can use long benches, boxes, and soft mats.

•  You can also include a session to practice some spectacular shooting techniques, such as hip-turn side volley, bicycle kick, and things like that. However, do not use the bare ground for this part of the training session. Use soft mats instead.

•  It is also a great idea to include a short session for shooting competitions, where you can use boxes as targets.
