Indoor Soccer Rules For Kids

Indoor soccer rules for kids have been set up by the governing bodies of nationwide soccer regulations. These rules have changed only slightly over the years. These changes have also occurred only due to the modern football game demands. However, the basic rules of the game remain the same for the World Cup match or even a friendly neighborhood match.

A Review Of The Indoor Soccer Rules For Kids

  • All the players are restricted to only one team roster per league.
  • A yellow card and a 2 minute penalty are issued to a player who tries to side tackle another player.
  • Children soccer rules hold that propelling an opponent player into the perimeter wall would result in the offending player getting a red card.
  • If the 3 line rule is broken then the ball would be taken back to the defensive third line.
  • If the ball strikes the side netting and is declared out of bounds then the ball would be placed along the wall perimeter close to where it was declared out of play.
  • If the ball strikes the ceiling of the net then a restart shall happen from where the ball touched the ceiling.
  • Issuance of a yellow card would happen with a 2 minute penalty. If a yellow card has to be issued a second time then it would lead to an ejection of the player from the rest of the contest or suspension from the next game.
  • According to the children soccer rules a 5 minute penalty would be announced for the team which violates any rule. Even a disciplinary hearing would be held at the end of the game.
  • The issuance of a red card means that the player or the coach is ejected for the remaining contest or suspended from the next game.

Some further rules include that only the coaches and the players of the participating team are permitted on the bench area. The coaches, guests and the players have to follow the Kids America Standards of Conduct. Turf shoes and cleats are not allowed in indoor soccer field.

The indoor youth football rules are much like the adult rules except that the rules are applied in a more lenient manner compared to the adult games. It is the duty of the coach to train his team in a manner that they get well versed with the requirements of the game.

Being a good player would make no difference if the player violates rules and is disqualified from the game. With proper guidance and training in indoor soccer rules for kids, they can grow to be exemplary players and do their nation proud.
