Basic Slime Soccer Rules

Coaching a soccer game doesn't start by simply kicking the ball. You need to know the basic slime soccer rules to understand the game before you can take up coaching. The most elementary football rules however are about the start and restart of the game. These rules can easily be classified as introductory or beginner soccer rules.

The basic rules of soccer game give out eight reasons for the game to stop and restart.

Reason 1- The game has two halves of 45 minutes each and may have some extra time of 15 minutes. Each period starts with a kick-off. The game is also restarted with a kick-off if a team scores a goal.

Reason 2- If the ball goes out of the side line, the player who has last touched the ball will give a throw-in. The game restarts with the other team throwing the ball back into the play.

Reason 3- If a defending team while defending, kicks the ball outside the base line, the attacking team gets a corner kick. As per the basic rules of soccer, they are then required to take the kick from the nearest corner to restart the game.

Reason 4- If the attacking team while trying to goal kicks the ball outside the base line of the opponent, the game is restarted by the goalkeeper by kicking the ball within the safety box.

Reason 5- In case of a team involved in dangerous play or offside (or any other non-penal foul), an indirect free kick is awarded to the opponent. The game restarts with a ground kick which cannot be taken towards the goal. The basic soccer rules define an indirect free kick such that if a player scores a goal without any other player touching the ball, the goal will not be given.

Reason 6- A free direct kick is awarded to the other team if a handball or such foul as decided by the referee, occurs by the team.

Reason 7- If the offence is similar to a free direct kick but occurs inside the defending team's penalty area, a penalty kick is given. The game restarts with one of the attacking team's player shooting for goal from the penalty spot.

Reason 8- In case the game is stopped by the referee due to an injury to the player, ball becoming defective or any other external factor, the game restarts with a drop ball. Here the referee drops the ball from shoulder height in front of two players who then fight for its possession.

Conclusion

To coach any novice, knowledge of elementary football rules in starting or restarting a game is a must. Also, coaching these rules will enable a player to avoid giving an upper hand to the opponent. Thus, these basic slime soccer rules about keeping the ball in play are essential to start coaching any beginner.
