Three times World Cup champions, Germany has made a special place for itself in the world of soccer. The country treats soccer as a religion. Germany first started playing soccer in the beginning of the 20 th century, just after a few decades after the invention of the game.

The basic rules of soccer depend upon the positions of the players in the fields. These positions are:

  1. Defenders: These are the players that stand behind the midfielders. The main responsibility of these players is to give defensive support to the goalkeeper and stop the opposite side from scoring a goal. There are three main positions of defenders:
