Soccer Rules Youth 7 - Designed To Attract Players To The Game

Soccer rules youth 7 are largely an adaptation of the FIFA rules with the clear opinion that the players are young and need to be nurtured and guided rather than be thrust straight into competitive sport.

This is why no records of games are maintained and wins and losses do not alter any kind of relative position of the teams. The whole idea is to keep the game fun and ensure that players return to play the next season.

Football rules for under 7 have been framed keeping the above principles in mind. Game officials are aware that parents and coaches sometimes put undue pressure on the players and run up and down with the ball shouting instructions.

This is no longer allowed. Parental expectations have been toned down and only specified areas of the soccer field are allowed to be used by parents and other spectators.

Keeping the tender age of the players in mind, the time duration of the game has also been made shorter and generally, all clubs finding this a sensible decision have adopted the soccer rules.

Youth 7 or below play the game in 4 quarters, each quarter is of 10 minutes duration and there are 2-minute gaps for rest at quarters and a 5 minute rest at the half time. It has also been specified that every available player must play at least 50% of the time if not more. As you can see, the basic idea here is to give the players exposure and some fun. The idea is that players should join the game and not be turned off it.

Some other prominent variations relate to penalty kicks and off sides. No penalty kicks are awarded at this level of the game. Also, while football rules for u7 do not have a convention of calling off sides, taking obvious advantage of the no offside rule is also not allowed.

The referee can judge if a player was off side due to normal fortunes of the game or if he is being deliberately positioned there to take advantage. The goal may be disallowed as per the discretion of the referee.

Knowing the u7 youth soccer official rules usysa is important. Soccer rules youth 7 or less also define that 4 to 7 players can take part in a game. Players must wear shin guards and use tennis or soccer cleats.

The home team provides the balls and all the players provide the fun and the action. Sensible and non - intrusive rules listed for this age group have made play fun and safe for the young kids.
