While you are developing the youth soccer coaching exercises including soccer footwork drills, your focus must be on developing effective ways to streamline the practice.
If you are coaching a large group of young athletes, it is always recommended for you to incorporate circuit training, as it can be a very effective method in this regard.
You can also use this training method to raise work levels of the players. Moreover, if you want to emphasize strength, conditioning, and flexibility in your coaching sessions, then circuit training method will help you achieve that in a very impressive and result-oriented way.
For example, in order to incorporate this into your youth soccer coaching sessions, you can set up eight to ten exercise stations on the field.
In this case, you can divide the players in very small teams, consisting of two or three players, which will be located there on each exercise station.
To start with, you can allow at least 30 seconds for exercise at one exercise station, and then move to another station within next 15 seconds and repeat the process.
You can have your players complete the entire circuit twice or thrice. You can also use this method during a soccer tryout.
